To all of you,
A big thank you to all our customers, distributors as well as our suppliers for helping us make 2022 another hugely successful year for Cambridge Sensotec. For the first time in our twenty-two year history we have exceeded £4M in sales thanks to the efforts of our sales, manufacturing, and support teams. We expect to be a £5M company by the end of 2023.
2022 has been far more challenging than we ever expected at the start of the year. We have struggled to source critical components, especially microchips and other electronics, and have had to face endless rising costs in materials as well as fuel & energy. Because of this we now hold close to a million pounds worth of stock to keep our manufacturing going and we have invested in new double glazing in our entire factory to improve our heat insulation. As I type this on the coldest day of the year so far, I’m glad we did it before the winter months arrived!
Our R&D team has spent most of this year converting our entire gas-analyser product range over to our latest Reduced Size mother Board (RSB) which means we now only need to worry about the components on a single board instead of three. The RSB has proven extremely popular in the Rapidox OEM business where compact size is critical and we are excited to announce that we are in the final stages of producing a SIL2 rated version ready for the spring of 2023.
Our MK2 SF6 pumpback analyser was finally launched in April this year and has been a roaring success. We literally can’t build them fast enough! We are also in the middle of working with our SF6 sensor manufacturer to produce a version in 2023 to support the next generation of SF6 replacement gases now on the market (Novec 4C and 5C).
None of this work would be possible without your continued support, and confidence in our sales and after-sales-support resources. We are always trying to find new ways to improve our products and our working practices each day.
Thank you for playing such a pivotal role in our success story. On behalf of the Team here at Cambridge Sensotec I would like to wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas and send our best wishes to you all for the New Year.
