The Rapidox 6100 C4-FN & C5-FK is a fully automatic zero-emissions multi-gas pumpback analyser designed for measuring gas compartments containing mixtures of C4-FN (Novec 4710) and C5-FK (Novec 5110) blended with CO₂ and O₂, all in a single portable instrument.

Its modular design allows the user to select only the gas types required. The analyser measures gas purity, water content and contamination gases in high-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers and gas bottles. Fully portable and powered by a lithium battery, the Rapidox 6100 C4-FN & C5-FK combines exceptional accuracy, stability and ease of use.

Exceptional accuracy and stability are achieved when measuring the purity of compartment gas, thanks to carefully selected sensors. The modular configuration allows for up to six compatible gases to be analysed simultaneously for each gas type, using one analyser.

The Rapidox 6100 C4-FN & C5-FK is fully compatible with gas mixtures of C4-FN with CO₂/O₂ and C5-FK with CO₂, along with carbon monoxide – the primary toxic contamination gas. The unit also measures the water content of the gas in either dew point or ppm to ensure acceptable dryness levels.

Housed within a robust IP66-rated Peli transport case, the analyser is supplied with sample hoses and DN8/DN20 coupling accessories. Once powered and connected, the operator selects the gas blend in use, and the Rapidox automatically configures the measurement screen. When switching between gas types, the analyser runs a purge cycle to clear residual gas before introducing a new sample into an external recovery bag.

During operation, a small quantity of pressurised gas is removed from the electrical equipment or gas cylinder and monitored using an automatic pressure-sensing system. A built-in vacuum purge cycle and internal gas storage system ensure no air contamination enters the sample and that no test gas escapes during analysis.

All measurements are recorded and data logged, with stable readings typically achieved within minutes. A powerful compressor then returns the gas to the electrical equipment at high pressure. Results can be displayed on the large colour touchscreen and, if required, printed using the integrated thermal printer. Safety features are built in to prevent gas loss or cross-contamination, and the system is fully portable for ease of use in the field.
